South of Newport Beach, off Pacific Coast Highway, is Crescent Bay. Just offshore is a huge rock, almost all white from seagull droppings. a favorite spot for seals, they bark incessantly night and day. The beautiful seascape, with the sounds of the gulls and seals, makes for a wonderful visit.
